Account security and access restrictions | CoreCMS guides
CoreCMS uses account permissions and sign-in checks to restrict access to administration tools. A missing menu item does not necessarily mean the feature is unavailable on the website.
How to use it
- Use your own account and a unique password.
- Give editors access only to the pages and modules they need.
- If an account is restricted, stop repeated sign-in attempts and ask an administrator to investigate.
- Remove or restrict access when a colleague no longer needs it.
Before you finish
The exact sign-in limits depend on the installed security configuration. Do not rely on the old guide’s claim that every account is suspended after five lifetime failures. Keep confidential documents out of publicly accessible media folders.
